Pact leaders attend biannual conference SABR

May 2, 2014

Pact country directors from around the world are convening in Istanbul, Turkey, next week at a Global Forum to discuss the state of Pact’s development work and exchange information to help Pact serve more people in poverty.

About 30 country directors and managers — from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa to Nepal in Asia to Colombia in South America — will be attending the event, which occurs every two years.

About a dozen leaders from Pact’s Washington, D.C., headquarters will also be attending.

Pact’s CEO Mark Viso says the Global Forum affords Pact leaders in the field the opportunity to learn better approaches in international development from their colleagues and to deepen their understanding of how Pact’s headquarters can support their work.

The Global Forum runs from May 5-May 10.
