Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) - Phase IIIName: Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) - Phase III This is the third phase in our partnership with the David and Lucile Packard Foundation to expand reproductive health services to Ethiopian youth and to increase the reach of local NGOs with effective and expanded reproductive health services. This new phase seeks to improve, sustain and expand youth-focused reproductive health interventions, especially in rural areas. Activities target 500,000 mostly rural adolescents and youth in Amhara, SNNPR and Oromia. Special emphasis is given to best practice tools, methodologies and strategies reaching youth, including peer-to-peer education, positive approaches to behavior change, and linking life skills training to reproductive health activities, such as sexual negotiation skills and condom use. ARH also incorporates Pact's women's economic empowerment model, WORTH; the Community Conversations model; and the promotion of greater networking and collaboration among organizations working on adolescent reproductive health and between non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations and health institutions. The project provides technical capacity-building to local partners to enable them to continue and sustain the work of ARH. Building Youth Capacity to Promote Reproductive Health (pdf)
