HIV/AIDS Education and Capacity Building for Transport ProjectsName: HIV/AIDS Education and Capacity Building for Transport Projects - IEC Toolkit Pilot Project ManagementDuration: February 2009 - June 2011 Donor: The World Bank Group The World Bank prepared The Road to Good Health Toolkit to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in the transport sector. The Toolkit targets vulnerable populations at or around infrastructure project sites, including migrant workers, service providers, community members, and the spouses/partners of the migrant workers. To evaluate the suitability and impact of The Road to Good Health Toolkit, the World Bank sought to pilot its implementation in four countries with the goal of developing a methodology for country-specific and regional application. Pact has conducted pilot testing in Cambodia on behalf of the World Bank, including adapting and developing the Toolkit to the needs and situation of Cambodia, and adapting the Toolkit generally to maximize its benefit to regional populations made vulnerable to the disease as a result of the Bank's civil works activities. Pact has also worked towards managing the HIV Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns in Cambodia; developing, monitoring and overseeing the program; and procuring local consultants and working with them to adapt the HIV IEC materials; providing technical assistance and capacity to government staff; and monitoring project progress.
