Current JobsHIV/AIDS Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting AdvisorsJob DescriptionPact is seeking candidates for two HIV/AIDS MER Advisor positions in for the South Africa and the Lesotho HIV/AIDS grants management programs. The positions are based in the respective Pact country offices (Pretoria and Maseru). The HIV/AIDS MER Advisor is expected to implement monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems to ensure that Pact and its implementing partners provide compatible data supportive of program and donor reporting requirements. The MER Advisor is responsible for developing and implementing methodologies and standards (in line with donor requirements) for monitoring and evaluating program activities. In addition, s/he will also develop presentations and written reports based on Pact's program results as well as provide technical support to Pact partners in documenting and reporting their program results. The MER Advisor will promote capacity strengthening in partner and grantee organizations through mentoring and training in monitoring, evaluation and reporting, and will closely monitor data quality through scheduled data quality assessments. The MER advisor will be supervised by the Regional MER Director based in Pretoria South Africa. Education and Experience RequirementsA minimum of a Masters' degree in social, behavioral or health sciences with practical experience in developing and implementing, monitoring and evaluation activities in the HIV/AIDS health sector is required. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in monitoring and evaluation systems design including developing data management systems, indicator construction, curriculum development and use of relevant computer software for database management. Demonstrated expertise in Training and Capacity Building in MER is essential and experience with evaluation and impact reporting to donors and to project managers, demonstrating both analytical rigor and practicality will be advantageous Salary: Salaries will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
