SWING
SWING is a community-based organization with strong and direct links to its beneficiaries. With support from Pact, SWING is running two projects targeting MSM and FSW, respectively. The MSM project aims to decrease high-risk behavior among MSM in Pattaya and in Bangkok and to expand on the efforts by the government and its alliances which deal with the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The implementation of the project includes prevention and sensitization campaigns, advocacy and networking and facilitation of access to improved health care. The SWING project entitled “Towards Occupational Safety and Health in Sex Work” aims to decrease risks of STD and HIV infections for female sex workers (FSWs) in Pattaya. The implementation of the project includes condom use, empowerment and peer education among sex workers. |
