Quick Response, Short-Term Technical Assistance and Training Support for Gender Integration in USAID Operating UnitsSeptember 2002 - September 2005 As part of its efforts to assist the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) programs and operating units to integrate gender, the Women in Development (WIS) office established the "Integrating Gender for Development Results: The Women in Development Indefinite Quantity Contract." The WID office awarded six contracts through an IQC mechanism to support the agency's efforts to address gender concerns throughout its programs and polices. Pact is a member of the "Quick Response, Short -Term Technical Assistance and Training Support IQC led by DevTech Systems. The Gender IQC is a three-year task order whereby USAID missions, and other operating units can obtain technical assistance and training to address gender-related concerns in their programs. Technical assistance may be provided across USAID's strategic focuses and sectors (economic growth, agriculture and trade, democracy, conflict and humanitarian assistance and global health) for strategy development, definition of indicators, activity design, project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
