Pact has supported and enabled Dr. Henry Randrianasolo (second from the left), Assistant Physician at the Pharmcovigilance Service, and Manager of the Unit for Information on Drugs and Intoxication (UNIMINTOX), to undergo a medical internship at the Centre Anti Poison in Quebec (CAPQ), a center affiliated with the University of Laval in Quebec, Canada. His mission there, conducted in December 2010, was one of many activities financed by the project National Strategy Application of the Global Fund to strengthen the capacity of Madagascar health professionals in clinical toxicology. Through CAPQ, Dr. Randriansolo was trained in in the management of telephone responses and support for emergency clinical toxicology to fully implement the UNIMINTOX in Madagascar.
