Engendering the Care and Treatment Response:

Addressing the Needs of Women Living with HIV in Viet Nam

 

Pact Vietnam announces Request for Applications (RFA) # 08-00-001: Engendering the Care and Treatment Response: Addressing the Needs of Women Living with HIV in Viet Nam   Under this program, Pact Vietnam will provide a grant to a local or international non-governmental organization (NGO) to improve the scope and quality of services provided to women living with HIV/AIDS (WLHIV) in Viet Nam using an integrated assessment-implementation-evaluation approach.  Activities will be implemented in one or more of the following provinces: Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh.  This initiative, to be supported by Pact Vietnam with funding from the United States Agency for International Development under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). 

 

It is expected that one grant will be awarded for approximately US$300,000.  Programming is expected to begin by 1 May 2008 and end 30 September 2009.   Prime applicants may be international NGOs or locally registered Vietnamese NGOs.  International NGO applicants must propose explicit partnerships with Vietnamese NGOs, CBOs, and/or agencies of the Government of Viet Nam, and/or Vietnamese mass organizations.  Prime applicants must have a current programming presence in Viet Nam.

 

The full application (attached) provides comprehensive instructions for applicants, and all necessary templates and forms to be completed.
