Jeannie Zielinski

Vice President, Southern Africa


Jeannie Zielinski leads program delivery in Southern Africa and manages country directors in the region. She ensures Pact operations are relevant and effective within the framework of our global strategy. She is based in Zambia.

Previously, Ms. Zielinski spent fifteen years with CARE. Most recently, she was the country director for South Africa and Lesotho. In this role, she worked with staff and partners to assure the quality of programs in HIV and AIDS, micro savings and loans, local governance and food security. She was responsible for financial management, resource mobilization, administration and human resource oversight and strategic partnerships with stakeholders.

Her $12 million annual budget was funded by CDC and USAID, DFID, AusAID, the Norwegian and Austrian foreign ministries and the U.S. private sector.
