Mekong Partnership for the Environment

Under this USAID-funded project, Pact convened government, civil society, and private sector in all five countries along the lower Mekong to promote sustainable infrastructure development and improve public participation within environmental impact assessments for major infrastructure projects, including hydro-power dams. The project also worked with the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) to develop the Cambodian Sustainable Finance Principles to guide individual bank policies for improved environmental, social, and governance standards, and to identify opportunities for promoting energy innovation in Cambodia through the publication of a report in 2016 outlining the potential for the country to diversify its power supply technology mix.
