Pact, an international nonprofit, announced that Zewud Debebe has joined the organization as its new chief human capital officer. Debebe, an accomplished business and human resources leader, will join the organization’s executive team and lead its global human capital strategy.

Debebe brings more than 25 years of experience developing and executing programs that improve operational and employee effectiveness and success. Prior to ODA Global, Debebe held executive-level positions at Social Solutions International and Danya International, as well as HR management positions at Koba & Associates and Gannett.

Pact president & CEO Caroline Anstey welcomed Debebe’s addition to the organization’s executive leadership team.

“Zewud has a depth of understanding in and passion for ensuring employee effectiveness and success. She has worked across the human resources spectrum and has deep experience supporting strong organizational culture,” said Anstey. “As the international development sector continues to grapple with our role in ensuring an equitable, just and fair world, having an experienced leader like Zewud in this role will only further strengthen our global organization and help us live our values of respect, integrity and inclusion.”

Beyond organizational culture, Debebe is experienced in employee and management development, diversity and inclusion and engagement, mentoring, performance management, recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation, corporate policy/procedures, and more. In addition to leading the Global Human Resources department, Debebe will oversee Pact’s Security and Facilities teams, which together support more than 5,000 Pact staff across the world.
