International NGO Pact names Cristine Betters head of public sector business development

International NGO Pact has named Cristine Betters as the Vice President for Public Sector Business Development. As Vice President, Betters will lead the organization’s considerable global portfolio of work with the public sector, across the business development pipeline, and will join the organization’s Senior Management Team.

Betters is a proven international development leader with more than 20 years of experience across 30 countries. She has spent her career working at the nexus of business development, strategy, management and program leadership. 

“We are thrilled that Cristine is bringing her considerable knowledge and expertise to Pact,” said Caroline Anstey, President & CEO of Pact. “She has a breadth of experience, command of the business development landscape and track record of successful fundraising that will help us continue to deliver positive impact for the communities that we serve globally.”

Betters currently serves as the Managing Director of the West Africa, Latin America and Caribbean region at Abt Associates. Prior to that, Betters was the Director of Africa Programs for the Malaria Consortium, worked for a family foundation in Illinois and held a number of positions at the International Rescue Committee and Catholic Relief Services. Her first day at Pact will be February 8.
