Civil Society and Media – Strengthening Together and Advancing in New Directions (CSM-STAND) program for Asia, Europe and Eurasia, and Latin America and the Caribbean
This regional program is supporting the design and implementation of civil society and media support programs across Asia, Europe and Eurasia, and Latin America and the Caribbean, and advancing U.S. leadership in international civil society movements. Through CSM-STAND, Pact, IREX and our partners are working closely with USAID Missions, Regional Bureaus and Independent Offices to strengthen civil society and media’s capacities to credibly represent citizen interests and hold governments accountable through advocacy, oversight and outreach. We are strengthening local, regional and cross-regional approaches that foster independent civic forces, enhance civic engagement, and build vibrant, resilient and self-reliant civil society and media sectors.

This regional program is supporting the design and implementation of civil society and media support programs across Africa and MENA and advancing U.S. leadership in international civil society movements. Through CSM-STAND, Pact, IREX and our partners are working closely with USAID Missions, Regional Bureaus and Independent Offices to strengthen civil society and media’s capacities to credibly represent citizen interests and hold governments accountable through advocacy, oversight and outreach. We are strengthening local, regional and cross-regional approaches that foster independent civic forces, enhance civic engagement, and build vibrant, resilient and self-reliant civil society and media sectors.
