Climate resilience for orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe

Climate resilience for orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe
The webinar will provide an opportunity for development practitioners to learn about the main findings of a Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment (CCVA) carried out in Manicaland and Masvingo provinces in eastern and southern Zimbabwe. The CCVAs engaged orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), caregivers, elders and local communities, and interviewed headmasters, psychosocial support teachers and government authorities from various sectors to understand observed and anticipated climate change impacts, assets at risk, vulnerability and adaptive capacity of OVC and their communities across both provinces.
Speakers will include staff from USAID in Washington and Zimbabwe, Family AIDS Caring Trust Zimbabwe (FACT) and Pact.
