Women and Girls Africa Summit 2020

The Women and Girls Summit (WAGS), which will take place virtually Nov. 16-18, 2020, aims to prepare women and girls as leaders in key industries to ensure that Africa realizes its full potential on issues ranging from entrepreneurship to the impact of climate change, to reproductive health, to developing socially responsible enterprises. This transformational event will create a group of change agents in their own communities, passionate about driving and implementing actions that will help countries in Africa across the development continuum.

Pact is proud to be sponsoring the summit. Pact's Ranahnah Afriye is serving on the conference's Advisory Committee, we'll have a virtual booth, and our staff will be presenting the following sessions:

  • Women and Girls in Health Crises, November 16, 13:30 – 14:30 GMT, Ranahnah Afriye speaking.
  • Women Driving Local Development Economic Development in the Age of Climate Change, November 16, 14:45 – 15:45 GMT, panel moderated by Pact's David Bonnardeaux with Holisoa Lalaharimanitra (Pact's Hay Tao project), Chikondi Pasani (Malawi Department of Fisheries) and Leo Msanga (Pact) as speakers.
