Myo Kyaw Thu
Deputy Director, Transactions
Myo Kyaw Thu currently serves as the Deputy Director (Transactions) at Smart Power Myanmar (Pact) in Yangon, Myanmar. In this role, he advises, assesses, and analyzes potential projects, while leading the investment and financial feasibility assessments and the strategic deployment of guaranteed funds.
Before his current position, Myo held several significant roles in prominent organizations. He worked as a short-term consultant for both the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), contributing to data analysis, research, training, and project management activities. At IFC, he played a crucial role in implementing Salesforce Effectiveness Programs and conducting sales and financial management training for client banks.
Myo Kyaw Thu's professional journey also includes roles at different local and international organizations where he gained valuable experience in financial product development, financial modeling, analysis, loan structuring, risk management, SME training, and legal research.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with Honors from City University of Hong Kong, specializing in Business Economics. Additionally, Myo is an Obama Foundation Leader through the Asia Pacific Program and serves on the Board of the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association.
