Polycarpe Nshimirimana
Team Lead & Project Manager, Illuminating Small-Scale Mining in Rwanda project
Dr. Polycarpe Nshimirimana is an Agricultural Social Economist with over 20 years of experience in community development, technical vocational and educational training (TVET) and gender equality. During this career, Polycarpe has led partnerships with public and private sector organizations, including USAID, World Bank, World Vision, Embassies of the USA, Australia, Taiwan and the Netherlands, Mastercard and IKEA Foundations. Dr. Polycarpe holds a PhD in Education with specialization in TVET; a MSc in Socioeconomic Development with a specialization in planning; and BA in Population Studies. In addition to his experience int he agriculture sector, over the past five years, Dr. Polycarpe has led capacity, enterprise and youth development programs in the renewable energy sector, connecting communities to private sector lighting services in Rwanda. He speaks English, French, Swahili, Kinyarwanda and Kirundi.
