Empowering Local Partnerships: ACHIEVE Tanzania’s Support in Transitioning Services and Building Capacity for Effective Implementation
November 20, 2024
Achieve
Tanzania has USAID’s largest orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) program, with over 700,000 children and caregivers expected to benefit from OVC and DREAMS services in fiscal year 2025 (FY25). USAID and ACHIEVE have been working together since 2022 to facilitate a transition of OVC and DREAMS activities from ACHIEVE to local prime implementing partners. Given the size of the program, the transition has been one of the largest OVC program transitions undertaken to advance the localization agenda.
