Use of technology in Myanmar programming

Pact has been pioneering community-led approaches to advance social development outcomes in Myanmar, particularly in the areas of health, education and livelihoods. The Covid-19 pandemic and political insecurity following the military coup have made it challenging for Pact to access communities and deliver programming in person. There is also a pressing need for flexible programming to support communities in adapting to new, external shocks, ensure mothers are well-equipped to provide nurturing care for their children, and to collaboratively promote inclusive economic empowerment for better livelihood outcomes. In response to this country challenge, Pact, together with its development partners, has embarked on the use of e-learning platforms and applications to transfer knowledge and strengthen skills on needs identified by the communities.
