8th Belarus Reality Check Non-PaperDecember 28, 2018
The 8th Belarus Reality Check meeting took place in Vilnius on October 22, 2018. Organized by Eastern Europe Studies Centre (EESC) with the support from USAID through Pact and Sida through Forum Syd, and together with programmatic contributions from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the event gathered leading Belarusian and international experts and practitioners to discuss the latest political, economic and security developments in Belarus and to provide evidence-based analysis and balanced policy advice.
The review group is comprised of top Western, Belarusian and regional analysts with a particular emphasis on the independent character of the group in order to achieve evidence-based and balanced policy advice. The non-papers are product of the Belarus Reality Check meetings, fact-checking and peer review process. They are released in order to contribute to the policy debate in and outside of Belarus.
