Sowing the Seeds of Our Future: Chili Cultivation in Southern Shan State

The Advancing Community Empowerment project, supported by USAID, is working with “Development for Environmental-friendly Agriculture and Rural Life of Myanmar” (Dear Myanmar) in 30 villages of Southern Shan State and Kayin State on agriculture livelihood activities to strengthen the capacity of farmers.

Dear Myanmar promotes environmentally friendly agriculture and is helping approximately 400 chili farmers, forming 30 farmer enterprises to help improve productivity and linkages to markets to gain a fair price for their chili harvest.
