Astrid Elena Villegas

Astrid Elena Villegas is the communications officer at Pact’s Colombia office, where she leads communications work to reduce child labor in mining. Before Pact, she spent time at the United Nations Development Programme, Doctors Without Borders and the International Center for Transitional Justice. A native of Colombia, she uses her skills as a communicator and journalist to give visibility to vulnerable populations, such as indigenous peoples and victims of armed conflict.
