Social Accountability in the Health Sector

The Social Accountability in the Health Sector (SAHS) Programme aims to improve citizen engagement to improve accountability in health sector in Nepal. SAHS focuses on collaborating with civil society groups, national policy actors, and government health institutions to understand the challenges and deepen social accountability efforts in the health sector. Through the recommendations from situational analyses, applied political economy analyses and multi-stakeholder dialogue, key health sector actors will be able to implement more effective social accountability initiatives. The project ultimately contributes to Nepal’s National Health Sector Programme III, which is designed to improve health services in Nepal, particularly for socially excluded groups.
