Pact is working in Liberia to stem deforestation and biodiversity loss while making sure forest-dependent communities and local farmers are able to earn a dignified living.

By strengthening forest value chains, establishing legal and management frameworks for forest enterprises, and building the forest-management capacity of local organizations, Pact is making a lasting difference in Liberia.

Among the tools we’re using is our award-winning WORTH model, which brings together groups of women and older teens and uses a combination of literacy training, community banking and micro-business development to help women lift themselves and one another out of poverty.
