Cynthia Onyango
Senior Capacity Development Advisor
Cynthia Onyango is a senior capacity development advisor for Pact. With a career spanning 15 years, she has emerged as a prominent figure in the fields of capacity development, with extensive experience across health, governance, partnership building, advocacy and key populations. Her academic background includes a bachelor's degree in Public Health, coupled with a master's in Health Economics and Policy. Prior to her current role, she was a capacity development advisor on the Pact-led ACHIEVE project and played a leadership role in capacity strengthening initiatives for Pact under PEPFAR-funded projects such as LINKAGES and FANIKISHA. Before Pact, Cynthia held a pivotal role leading civil society regionally at the Aga Khan Foundation East Africa.
Throughout her career, Cynthia has demonstrated a commitment to driving positive change and local development in partnership with communities. Her expertise lies in strengthened capacity and collective action, aligning with her dedication to supporting sustainable initiatives that make a lasting impact.
