Senior Capacity Development Advisor, ACHIEVE project


Cynthia Onyango is the senior capacity development advisor for the Pact-led ACHIEVE  project. With a career spanning 15 years, she has emerged as a prominent figure in the fields of capacity development, with extensive experience across health, governance, partnership building, advocacy and key populations. Her academic background includes a bachelor's degree in Public Health, coupled with a master's in Health Economics and Policy. Prior to her current role at Pact, she played a leadership role in capacity strengthening initiatives for Pact under PEPFAR-funded projects such as LINKAGES and FANIKISHA. Before Pact, Cynthia held a pivotal role leading civil society regionally at the Aga Khan Foundation East Africa. 
Throughout her career, Cynthia has demonstrated a commitment to driving positive change and local development in partnership with communities. Her expertise lies in strengthened capacity and collective action, aligning with her dedication to supporting sustainable initiatives that make a lasting impact. As a seasoned professional, Cynthia brings a wealth of knowledge to her current role on the ACHIEVE project, contributing significantly to its success. Her passion for empowering communities and her adept skills in capacity development position her as a valuable asset in fostering positive change and sustainable development. Cynthia is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
