Child Labor Program Manager
Elie D. Abota has more than 25 years of experience with international humanitarian and development organizations (Save the Children, Solidarity Center, International Rescue Committee, Chemonics and Pact) and State agencies in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has worked in child protection and reintegration of vulnerable children into the formal and non-formal education system, peaceful conflict management for social cohesion, supporting displaced people and refugees, women and men, young people out of school and the unemployed, as well as children associated with armed forces and groups. He has experience with economic strengthening of households, private sector engagement and capacity development of state and non-state actors. His excels at project management, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and operational management, including administrative, financial, logistics and workplace safety. Elie holds a bachelor’s degree in management and Economic Science and is pursuing a master’s degree in international Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid at Kalu Institute. He speaks French and English.
