James Bernard is an internationally recognized expert on multi-stakeholder partnerships. He currently serves as director of strategic partnerships at Resonance Global, a consultancy focused on partnerships in international development, impact investment and frontier market expansion. Before joining Resonance Global, James was senior director of global strategic partnerships for Microsoft's education group, where he led a team that was responsible for building partnerships with publishers, education technology companies and NGOs. In earlier roles at Microsoft, James worked on projects to bring technology such as low-cost PCs to people in developing countries. He also spent time as vice president of marketing and communications at World Learning, an international NGO. Before that, James spent eight years working in consumer marketing and public relations.
