Leah Hawes
Livelihoods Officer
Leah Hawes is a livelihoods officer at Pact, specializing in women's economic empowerment, youth engagement and empowerment, and entrepreneurship. She holds an MA from the University of Sussex in Food and Development, and has eight years of experience in humanitarian and development spaces. Prior to Pact, Leah worked with Save the Children on Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods programs, leading cash transfer initiatives, and later lived in Peru while working on her thesis that examined potato biodiversity in the Andes and the way Quechua communities were able to promote this biodiversity within local, national and international food systems.
