Luc Assosa

Luc L. Asosa is a development expert with over 20 years of experience. For more than a decade, he has focused on improving the governance of the artisanal mining sector, specializing in due diligence, health and safety standards, formalization, cobalt and the green energy transition. Luc has designed, implemented and managed projects related to community development, governance, peacebuilding, formalization of the artisanal mining sector, due diligence of responsible mineral supply chains, socio-economic reintegration of artisanal miners (with a focus on women) and the fight against child labor in mining in DRC and beyond. Luc speaks fluent Swahili, Lingala, French and English. He holds a master's degree in international relations from the Department of Social, Political and Administrative Sciences of the University of Lubumbashi, and a master's degree in fundamental studies in international relations from the Institute of International and Strategic Relations, where he specializes as an international strategy analyst in geo-economics, risk management and corporate responsibility.
