Meg McDermott
Technical Director, CSM-STAND
Meg McDermott is a Technical Director for the USAID-funded global civil society and media mechanism that Pact implements in collaboration with the wider CSM-STAND consortium. In her role, she supports the design and implementation of CSM-STAND programs in conflict-affected and shrinking civic space contexts, including in Sudan and Sri Lanka. Having worn several hats at Pact, she was previously Deputy Chief of Party for the Advancing Community Empowerment in Southeastern Myanmar (ACE) project, Director of Programs in Myanmar, a governance advisor on Pact’s technical team, and she served on the Program Operations team for the Asia region. Prior to joining Pact, she was based in Bangladesh as a Fulbright Clinton Public Policy Fellow. She previously worked on The Carter Center’s Access to Information team and with the World Bank’s civil society engagement unit.
