Sabine Joukes
Country Director, Cambodia
Sabine Joukes is the Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Women Entrepreneurs Act project, aimed at empowering young women entrepreneurs in Cambodia. Sabine started her career in the private sector, working in marketing, advertising and management in Belgium, Turkey, Cambodia, Myanmar and Indonesia. She joined the World Bank after the 2004 tsunami, working in donor coordination. After nine years in Malawi focused on climate resilience, she joined Pact Myanmar as Programs Director. Sabine has a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations, and a bachelor’s in Marketing and Business Management from Belgium.
