The Kavango Treatment Initiative
March 08, 2016
Promoting local solutions for lasting results is at the core of Pact’s work. In Namibia, Pact has applied these principles through the Namibian Institutional Strengthening programme (NIS). NIS worked with local actors to better deal with the challenges of an evolving HIV/ AIDS response. One outcome of this work was the Kavango Treatment Initiative (KTI) – a locally driven effort to improve the delivery of HIV testing, treatment and care services in one of Namibia’s poorest regions. Pact presents key insights gained during this project here and believes that these can contribute to achieving the 90-90-90 goals of diagnosis, treatment and viral suppression in an efficient and sustainable manner.
