Health and hope: Promoting access to quality health care services in Kayah State

May 12, 2020

To commemorate the recent International Nurses Day which is celebrated around the world on May 12, the Advancing Community Empowerment (ACE) project, supported by USAID, showcased how the project is promoting access to quality health care services in Southeastern Myanmar. Since May 2019, ACE local partner and grant recipient Civil Health and Development Network (CHDN) has been implementing a two-year healthcare project. Trained TBAs are providing maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) services that are saving mothers’ and babies’ lives, without requiring them to travel long distances to go to a clinic, which can pose health and safety risks and financial burden. Find out more in this short video about how CHDN's activities are bringing impact in Kayah State.
