The importance of access: Empowering women through technology in Tanzania

For many of the more than 2.5 billion adults who lack access to financial institutions, there are few viable options to save. For the past 20 years, Pact has supported more than half a million women across 15 countries through our community-based savings group model, known as WORTH. Through Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Living Progress Challenge, Pact has digitized WORTH’s accounting system and is piloting the app with young women in Tanzania.
