Larysa’s story: With Pact’s support, a transportation business in Ukraine succeeds

March 23, 2023

In Larysa Karpova’s suburban town in Ukraine, residents desperately needed reliable transportation to the city. Karpova and her family started a transportation business to help their neighbors, but the business struggled until Karpova joined WINGS, a Pact-led project that helps women gain skills and resources to be successful as entrepreneurs and employees. Karpova joined the WINGS business model validation program in summer 2022. Today, her family’s business is a success. As of March 2023, 1,530 women were enrolled in the WINGS project, with nearly 200 receiving seed funding to launch their businesses. Learn more about WINGS.

The WINGS project (Women Included: Nurturing Growth and Security) is implemented by Pact with the support of the Government of Canada. Its goal is enhanced economic prosperity for women, especially rural women. The information presented in this video does not necessarily reflect the views of the Government of Canada.
