Universal Health Coverage Day: Keeping the promise of health for all

December 12, 2019

Daw Mya Htay and her four children live in Nga Yant Daing, a remote rural village from the Ayeyarwady delta region. Famous for its fertile lands, this place was once known as the “rice bowl of Asia.” However, that is a distant past for Daw Mya Htay, who often struggles to earn a living by fishing and baking bricks.
