World Population Day: Promoting access to quality health services in Kayah State

World Population Day, July 11, aims to focus the world’s attention on the importance of population issues. Pact in Myanmar is marking the day by celebrating the work of our local partner Civil Health and Development Network (CHDN). Since May 2019, with funding from Pact and USAID's Advancing Community Empowerment project, CHDN has been implementing a two-year health care project. CHDN is training 270 traditional birth attendants to provide more effective health services to communities in remote areas. Learn more in this video, and see our photo story on CHDN's work.
