Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, Pact and our partners worked to improve governance through the CSM-STAND project. Our programming assisted Sri Lanka in maintaining a vibrant civil society that empowers citizens to advance values of citizen participation. This included linking civil society organizations across communities, districts, and regions to have a voice in local governance and national reform processes. We also supported independent media that drives positive change toward a more responsive and democratic space, with a focus on ensuring that vital information reaches and reflects Sri Lanka’s communities.
