Asia
Pact has worked in Asia for decades. We are one of the longest serving international organizations in Myanmar, and our earliest WORTH groups – an economic empowerment model that has reached more than 1 million women – began in Nepal.
Over the years we have helped communities to build democracy and good governance, strengthen civil society, fight HIV and AIDS, access renewable energy and much more. Our partners have included USAID, UNDP, The Rockefeller Foundation, Chevron, The Coca-Cola Foundation, the U.S. State Department and others.
Today, Pact is improving lives across Asia, building regional cooperation to address pressing challenges. In the Mekong region, we’re supporting efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect water and land resources and build sustainable, socially responsible business models – positive change that will pay off for generations to come. In Cambodia, Pact is helping thousands of women entrepreneurs to overcome barriers to success. In Myanmar, we are holistically improving lives in thousands of rural villages, partnering with communities to strengthen livelihoods, respond to Covid-19 and increase access to critical health services and electricity.
