Understanding artisanal mining (French booklet)
December 15, 2021
Mining
This revised Congolese Mining Code and Regulation French-language booklet was developed by Pact with funding from AOC International (Europe) BV and MMD-Monitors & Displays Nederland BV (Philips Monitors ), leaders in the world market for monitors. The aim of this brochure is to ensure that artisanal miners and mining communities in general understand the mining code and regulations, a crucial step in enabling them to exercise their rights, to make informed decisions on legal requirements to engage in mining and assume their responsibilities. This project thus contributes to the formalization of the artisanal mining sector and to improving the lives and livelihoods of thousands of people.
