USAID Hay Tao Achievements, Lessons Learned and Recommendations
March 02, 2023
This webinar featured lessons and recommendations for effective biodiversity conservation and natural resource management in Madagascar from the USAID Hay Tao Activity.
Since 2018, USAID Hay Tao has worked hand-in-hand with system actors to improve the management of natural resources in Madagascar, and more specifically to enhance and reinforce local-level outcomes by creating an enabling and empowering environment for effective community-based management of natural resources and protected areas.
Speakers presented on major lessons and recommendations drawing from the Activity’s five years of implementation, from improving the use of technology for evidence-based decision-making, to building public awareness of pressing environmental issues, to working with the private sector and civil society to establish market-based and community-oriented sustainable solutions.
